Four Year Old Sunday School Class at FBC

YOUR CHILD IS INVITED TO THE FOUR-YEAR-OLD SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS
Four-year-olds are just beginning to learn basic facts about God and the world around them. If you look into our room on any Sunday, you will see boys and girls busy in different activities. We have books, puzzles, blocks, a home living center, art activity, and a nature center. After activity time, we come together for our group time. This is the time for our Bible story. We sing, read Bible verses and thank God for all of the wonderful things He has given us. Through all of these activities the children are learning that God loves them, that He made each one special, and that He sent his Son Jesus who loved us and taught us to love one another.
“Miss Jane” Dunnahoo loves four year olds. For the last 47 years she has dedicated her service to the Four-year-old Sunday School Department. She has also worked many years in the four-year-old choir, the four-year-old Vacation Bible School, and with Mission Friends for these little ones. She is the mother of three adult sons and grandmother to three girls and three boys.
Powell Hosey is another teacher. As an elementary school teacher, she is very qualified to work with children. She has a quiet manner that calms and soothes when a child is upset or anxious. She has eight years of service in the four-year-old department and also works with these children in Vacation Bible School.
Chris Hosey completes our faculty. He is our rock. For a year and a half, he has kept all of our attendance records up to date, makes sure we have our literature, repairs things when necessary and just does anything he is asked to do. For a big “GBI man” he is the most gentle person, and the children are blessed to have him in our department. Chris and Powell have two daughters, Mary Beth and Julianne
You can find our class by coming into the Green Street entrance of Building C, our new multi-purpose building. After you come into the lobby, take the elevator or steps down to level 1. We are the second classroom on the left side of the hallway. We have an easy to see sign.
